LFD-200 Online Fiber Detector can detect information flow and measure signals at any point on single-mode and multimode fibers without disconnecting them. It allows signal verification prior to rerouting or maintenance, continuity testing, and cable label inspection. Based on non-destructive macrobending technology, this compact online fiber detector enables efficient and reliable data acquisition without interrupting information flow, damaging the fiber, or subjecting it to heavy pressure deformation.

Easy Testing for Multiple Fiber Types

EXFO's LFD-200 tester comes with three built-in interchangeable adapter heads, providing an all-in-one solution for online fiber detection. The handle's storage case contains additional adapter heads for easy replacement and testing of various fiber types.

The LFD-200 also features a hold button for hands-free operation. Simply push the button up and lock it down into place. You can then freely operate the settings.

Rapid Diagnostics

Simply clamp the LFD-200 onto the fiber, listen for the buzzer indicating the presence of information flow, and view a comprehensive status report on the multi-function LED display: signal presence or absence (live fiber or dark fiber), signal type (continuous test signal or 270 Hz, 1 kHz, or 2 kHz modulated test signal), signal direction, core power within a 2 dB (typical) range, and more.
